Winter Scene At South Bristol Coop - Watercolor

Here is a painting I have been working on for a long time.  These are dinghies upside down on a float at the South Bristol Fishermen's Coop.  They are upside down so they won't fill up with snow and ice.  On this winter day, the sun was strong and the float warmed up enough to melt some of the ice and snow.

This is a winter scene, but the sun is out and warms up the scene.  Here is this painting before I reworked it.

The version "Before Warming" is a nice drawing but largely "flat" three-dimensionally, more like the way it might look on a cloudy, overcast winter day.  When the sun comes out, it pours life into the scene.
